It's all about the ladies!

So I just spent the last 6 days in Dallas, TX. because my sister is pregnant with my miracle nephew; and it was her shower weekend. It was SO AWESOME!!! =) I got to rub her beautiful belly, talk to my sweet nephew in the womb (I told him to always mind his momma), and spend some serious Q.T. with several incredible women. The time spent solidified my opinion on the importance of having close relationships with women.

I can not tell you how nice it was to sit around with 6 other women - all extremely different - and just laugh, vent, laugh, and laugh some more! It was genuine "girl time", and it was rejuvenating!

What is the point, you ask? Well, I'll tell you...

Far too often we (women) are so incredibly competitive. We judge each other and give each other the stank-eye, rather than appreciating the differences between us. Why? Why do we hate when we could simply congratulate? I know it sounds silly, but it's true! We ladies need to be there for each other and have each other's back. We need to be able to open up to each other and speak freely, without fear of judgment. We need to be able to reach out to each other and know that, even if we have different beliefs and/or opinions about things, our girls will be there for us.

Make no mistake about it. The men in our lives are WONDERFUL, however the dynamic we have with our ladies is completely different - and that's a good thing. I am so incredibly grateful for the close friendships in my life!!! I love all my ladies like a fat kid loves cake! =)

It's late (3:54am TX time...yikes!) so I'm off to bed. I hope you all are well and having a great week thus far!

XOXOXOX
